Stabilize and extend your production with comprehensive,
cost-effective asphaltene control strategies
Asphaltenes are the highest-molecular weight organic fraction to be found in crude oil, consisting of aromatic hydrocarbons with Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Sulphur, and other metal ions. These ions, along with maltene molecules, give the Asphaltene a highly negatively charged surface area. Where present, Asphaltenes can be the source of major trouble and disruption to production and can be a problem downhole as well as in production system facilities.
Asphaltene precipitation is caused by a number of factors, including changes in pressure, temperature, and composition. The two most prevalent causes of Asphaltene precipitation in the reservoir are decreasing pressure and mixing of oil with injected solvent in improved oil recovery (IOR) processes. Drilling, completion, acid stimulation, and hydraulic fracturing activities can also induce precipitation in the nearwellbore region.
DOSAS provides specialist expertise and Asphaltene Inhibitor/Asphaltene Dispersant treatments to minimize flow assurance issues caused by asphaltene precipitation, which helps operators minimize nonproductive time and improve environmental compliance.
Asphaltene Control Technology Benefits
Long-chain asphaltenic compounds in crude oils can wreak havoc up and down your value chain. DosFlux™ asphaltene management solutions from DOSAS mitigate deposition problems that lead to formation damage, plug equipment, and impact crude stability. Our asphaltene inhibitor technologies deliver tangible benefits at every stage of oil production, transport, and processing.
|—||Boost profits and safety
Break the cycle of continuous asphaltene remediation for your operation, thus avoiding lost production revenue while minimizing safety risks for your field personnel.
|—||Extend run time
Stretch production time year-round by decreasing the frequency of remediation while lowering the likelihood of fouling in artificial lift systems and other production equipment.
|—||Optimize your treatment
Develop, select, and monitor the in-field performance of more efficient, cost-effective inhibitors with our asphaltene stability analysis methods.
Keep your oil reservoir, production piping, and transport equipment free of asphaltene deposits for optimal production.
Asphaltene Remedial Methods
The most effective solution is formulated using field and fluid data. A range of laboratory tests is conducted based on this data to simulate field conditions, including the use of DOSAS live-fluid organic solids deposition analysis. Product performance is modified in the field by measuring changes to process and fluid properties using instrumental and chemical methods.
