Paraffin Inhibitor Solution

Ensure Extended Production with Proven Paraffin Mitigation Solutions

Paraffin deposition occurs when waxy paraffin substances accumulate on the surfaces of oilfield equipment and pipelines. As crude oils cool, the wax molecules begin to separate, forming plate-like crystals or needle-like structures. These crystals have the tendency to interlock, creating a complex three-dimensional network that traps the oil. This leads to an increase in viscosity and, in severe cases, solidification of the oil. The deposition of paraffin can significantly impact production efficiency, increase maintenance expenses, and even result in equipment failure if not properly addressed.

EmendaFlow™ Paraffin Inhibitor Chemicals

Characterized by uses of paraffin inhibitor to effectively address challenges

Our comprehensive range of solutions, including solvents, cold flow improvers, dispersants, crystal modifiers, pour point depressants (PPD), and viscosity reducers, are specifically designed to tackle and resolve the production challenges associated with paraffin-related issues.

  • Pour Point Depressant

PPDs intervene in the crystallization process, preventing the formation of these networks and effectively lowering the pour point of the crude oil.

  • Crystal Modifier

By influencing the crystal morphology, wax inhibitors promote the formation of weaker wax deposits that can be more readily removed by shear forces within the flowing crude.

  • Paraffin Dispersant

Wax dispersants can reduce the amount of wax deposits in flowlines by different mechanisms depending on their chemical nature. Some will adsorb to pipeline surfaces thereby changing the wettability to water-wet. Others will adsorb to growing wax crystal surfaces reducing the tendency of the crystals to agglomerate.
