Low Water Permeability,
No Effect on Production
Dosas represents WATERCURB™ RPM a high molecular weight cationic polymer, precisely designed as covalently cross-linked entities, epitomize water solubility. The polymer's adsorption reduces clay sensitivity to cation exchange and decreases the permeability to water with little effect on permeability to oil. They possess the unique ability to self-repel, elegantly adhering to rock pore surfaces with a thickness mirroring their size. What sets them apart is the versatility to adjust their size, enabling precise control over water permeability. This polymer chemistry remains resilient, exhibiting minimal sensitivity to pH and salinity variations.
Performance Highlight
Tackling High Water Cuts with Precision, Elevating Oil Production
The WATERCURB™ RPM has been proven effective in South African reservoirs to address the high water cut (~85%), which restricts oil production and results in very high treatment and disposal costs at a well temperature of 150°C, with permeabilities varying from 5D to as low as 100mD. Initially, after adding WATERCURB™ RPM, the water cut was reduced by more than 60%, and oil production increased twofold.
WATERCURB™ RPM can be injected through bullhead treatment, saving you time and costs of expensive equipment or reperforation operations.
Due to the cross-linked structure of WATERCURB™ RPM, the developed viscosity is low, allowing a deep penetration within the formation.
Owing to its engineered polymers, WATERCURB™ RPM retains a wide range of permeabilities (100mD up to 5D).
WATERCURB™ RPM maintains high termal resistance compatibility, making it an ideal design for temperatures up to 150°C.
