Enhancing Pumpability with Thixotropic Cement Slurry Agents
DosThiox™ 99 is an aqueous solution when blended with a hydraulic cement comprising calcium hydroxide and/or a hydrolyzable calcium oxide and water form novel cement slurries that are pumpable and thixotropic. DosThiox™ 99 is designed to mix with cement slurries, forming a gel-like structure shortly after mixing. This structure thins under conditions of shear or stress, such as during pumping, and resets to a gel-like state when the stress or shear is removed.
