DosBlock™ T-20 is a engineered dispersion designed for formulating stable, lightweight cement slurries. that functions as both a pozzolanic material and an inorganic binder. The product reacts with calcium hydroxide from cement hydration, effectively increasing compressive strength and reducing permeability through the formation of additional calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) gel. Its primary application is in well sections where controlling density and ensuring long-term zonal isolation are critical.

Superior powder quality and controlled fine particle size (D₅₀ < 1 µm) ensure long-term slurry stability against sedimentation and gelation. The ultrafine particles contribute to early strength development and significantly reduce free-fluid separation. In addition, the system exhibits unconditional stability, preventing sedimentation and gelation even during extended storage. The product is non-hazardous (according to CLP), non-flammable, and environmentally considerate.
Does DosBlock™ T-20 have performance limitations under high-temperature conditions?
This extender is optimized for slurry designs with a Bottom Hole Circulating Temperature up to 85°C. For use it under HT is recommended to combine it with strength retrogression control additive. Additionally, in slurry designs above 85°C, the main challenge is retardation. If this challenge is effectively managed, this product will perform well without issues.
Does slurry containing DosBlock™ require a fluid-loss additive?
When used at concentrations above approximately 142 liters per tonne, the product provides inherent fluid-loss control due to its fine particle size and high surface area.
